Station 1 of the Chelsea Fire Department, located in Wappingers Falls, is a well-equipped facility serving the community's needs. Staffed 24/7, 365 days a year by 100% volunteer personnel, the station is designed to adapt to the growing and evolving needs of the community. This station houses two apparatus, a brand new rescue pumper and a pumper tanker.

2011 KME Predator/Panther Pumper
Pump capabilities: 1,250 gallons per minute
Tank size: 1,000 gallons
House bed capacity: 1,000 feet 5 inch house and 500 feet 3 inch hose
Duties: This apparatus is first to respond for any fire related incident, automatic alarms, burning odors. This apparatus also runs as an assistance piece to our rescue truck for motor vehicle accidents and vehicle fires.

2004 Pierce International Rescue Pumper
Pump capabilities: 1,250 gallons per minute
Tank size: 500 gallons
House bed capacity: 500 feet 5 inch hose
Duties: This apparatus is first to respond for any motor vehicle accidents, motor vehicle fire, and hazardous material incidents. This apparatus also has the capabilities to act as a first arriving unit to a fire incident.

Duties: This apparatus is provided to the Captain to act as the incident commander. This apparatus's main duty is to assist the Chief in accessing the incident in a timely manner and establishing a command post for the incident
