Chief Ryan McCluskey

Chief Ryan McCluskey is a native resident of the Town of Fishkill and has been a dedicated member of the Chelsea Fire District since 2007. Throughout his distinguished career, Chief McCluskey has served in various capacities, including Lieutenant, Assistant Captain, and Captain, showcasing his commitment and leadership within the department. In addition to his volunteer service, Chief McCluskey holds a full-time position as a Firefighter with the Castle Point Veteran's Affairs Fire Department and is a small business owner of Reagan Mae Contracting, where he applies his expertise and passion for public safety.

Captain Kenneth "Kenny" Schirmer

Captain Kenny Schirmer, hailing from Larchmont, NY, boasts a distinguished career in firefighting that spans several decades, including valuable years served at neighboring fire departments before his long-standing, 14 years of service at the Chelsea Fire District. His extensive experience in the field is marked by numerous leadership roles, culminating in his current position as Captain. This role highlights his dedication and deep commitment to community service. Captain Schirmer's has devoted his life to the fire service, demonstrating his passion for leadership and excellence in emergency response. In his off time, Captain Schirmer engages in hunting, fishing, spending time with his granddaughter and family and notoriously cleaning his truck, which provides him with a valuable balance and personal enrichment outside of his professional commitments. Additionally, he actively participates in community service activities, further showcasing his commitment to enhancing the lives of others around him.

2nd Lt Karter Kearns

2nd Lieutenant Karter Kearns, a lifelong resident of Wappingers Falls, has been an integral part of the Chelsea Fire District since his youth. His enduring commitment to firefighting began early and has included a progression through several key roles, from an active member to 3rd Lieutenant, and most recently, his promotion to 2nd Lieutenant. This advancement reflects his extensive experience and leadership capabilities within the department. In addition to his volunteer efforts, 2nd Lieutenant Kearns is also a full-time firefighter with Castle Point VA Fire Department, dedicating his professional career to serving and protecting the community. His deep-rooted passion for firefighting is paralleled by his involvement many other volunteer commitments, which he pursues with as much enthusiasm as his career.

3rd Lieutenant Eddie Espinal

3rd Lieutenant Eddie Espinal, originally from Bronx,NY, joined the Chelsea Fire District in 2023 and has quickly proven himself as a dedicated and skilled firefighter. Starting his career as an active member, his exceptional performance and leadership qualities led to his recent promotion to 3rd Lieutenant. This role marks his first leadership position within the department, where he continues to demonstrate his commitment to public safety and team development. Outside of the firehouse, 3rd Lieutenant Espinal is employed as fire sprinkler specialist, at Reagan Mae Contracting, blending his professional skills with his volunteer commitments. In his free time, he is passionate about hunting, fishing, outdoor activities and most importantly his family, which underscores his dynamic personality and community involvement.
